Fine. Not so long ago and not so far away, within the mystical, magical realm of cyberspace, a wondrous place was created by the author Julie Czerneda. It was called a newsgroup, and it became a place of creativity and laughter, of support and challenges, a gathering place for writers new and old...

So, anyway, in this wondrous place, from time to time, the hostess, or one of those gathered there, would offer a challenge to the others, because, after all, creativity needs challenge to thrive and grow. The results of these challenges were collected and preserved for all time by the inimitable Ruth Stuart. Well, perhaps not for all time, because, alas, the world turned and things changed, and the challenges so carefully preserved by Ruth had to find a new home.

This is that home. Ruth did all the work on them, I just offered the space to host them.
